No one was injured after the Lexington Division of Police was called to Fayette Mall after reports of an armed man inside the building.

Lexington police received a call around 11 p.m. Wednesday from mall security with a report of a man with a firearm who was acting suspiciously. Outside the mall, several people were camped out waiting to purchase the new iPhone 6 which will go on-sale Friday. Workers inside the mall were either evacuated or told to stay in their stores, depending on their location.

Lexington police did an extensive search of the mall that took about an hour, but they were unable to find the suspect. After the search, campers were allowed to return to their spots in line, and workers inside were released from lockdown.
