Former UK basketball walk-on cited for selling fake tickets

Former UK basketball walk-on Preston LeMaster had been cited for theft by deception over $500 for allegedly selling fake UK basketball tickets.

The Lexington Police Department received a complaint from a person who said that LeMaster sold them several tickets over the internet, police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts said.

Preston LeMaster walked on to the UK basketball team from 2002-2006 and played in 37 total games for coach Tubby Smith. He was the son of former UK guard Jim LeMaster, who was a three-year letterwinner from 196-1968 under coach Adolph Rupp.

LeMaster  will be going to District Court on March 25 for arraignment at 1 p.m.
