The Associated Press announced Monday that UK junior defensive end Bud Dupree and senior linebacker Avery Williamson earned Second Team All-SEC accolades.
Dupree garnered attention this season with his ability to rush the passer. He led the team with seven sacks and 9.5 tackles for loss, and tied the team lead with two fumbles forced.
The 6-foot-4-inch defensive end recorded at least a half-sack in six straight games, starting with the Sept. 7 game against Miami University (Ohio) through the victory against Alabama State University on Nov. 2.
Williamson finished the season with 102 tackles, fourth-best in the SEC. He finished his career at UK with 296 tackles, according to UK Athletics.
He finished last season second in tackles in the SEC, and earned Second Team All-SEC honors from Phil Steele’s College Football publication in 2012.
