UK Hoops senior forward Samantha Drake was diagnosed with a torn anterior cruciate ligament and a torn meniscus on Tuesday evening, effectively ending her season.

Drake injured her knee in the first half of Sunday’s game against Central Michigan University. She has played in all four games this season and has played in 88 games in her career. She has career averages of 3.4 points 2.5 rebounds per game.

Drake should have surgery is the next few weeks according to UK medical staff, with an expected recovery time of seven to eight months.
