Sand isn’t just for the summer as UK Student Activities Board brings professional sand sculptor Karen Fralich to campus.

Fralich, of SandQube for the Art Matters: Sand Sculpture Event, is a three-time World Champion in Sand Carving from Canada.

She plans to highlight Kentucky culture by carving from a giant block of sand.

The sculpting will be held Nov. 4 to 7 at the Singletary Center side lawn.

Visit sandqube.com or uksab.org to learn more about Fralich or the event.
