Two teams of UK basketball past will play against one another at Rupp Arena for charity on Sept. 9.

The NCAA championship winning team of 2011-12 will face the 2009-10 squad.

Former Cats who played on both the 2010 and 2012 teams have already started the friendly rivalry over which team will win, which will tip at 7 p.m.

“We will,” said 2010 team member DeMarcus Cousins, when asked who would win the clash during a press conference Wednesday at UK head coach John Calipari’s basketball camp at Memorial Coliseum.

New Orleans Pelicans center Anthony Davis, the 2012 NCAA Tournament MVP, agreed with Cousins — at first.

“Ten,” Davis said when asked who will win the game, before adding, “Nah, 2012. We’re proven winners.”

Players from each four of Calipari’s seasons at UK will take part in the event, according to a news release.

It is the second straight year that UK has hosted an alumni game at Rupp Arena.

Cousins led all scorers with 42 points during the 2012 alumni game which raised $350,000 for charity.

Ticket details for the 2013 alumni game have yet to be released.
