Twelve points, eight rebounds and eight assists from UK Hoops freshman guard Linnae Harper helped Team USA (7-0) advance to the semifinals of the U-19 World Championships on Friday.

The American squad saw off the challenge of Japan (3-4) in Panevezys, Lithuania, defeating their opponents by a score of  108-67.

Harper and her teammates will play Australia (6-1) on Saturday for a spot on the final.

“It’s going to be a tough game,” Harper said to USA Basketball of Saturday’s semifinal matchup with the Australians.

“We can’t take anything for granted. We’re going to have to play every possession like it’s our last and just play hard.”

Tipoff on Saturday is set for 1:15 p.m.

The game will be broadcast live on ESPN3.
