Cousino wins Gold Glove

Sophomore centerfielder Austin Cousino has been awarded for his defensive play in 2013 by being awarded a Gold Glove by the NCAA.

Nine players in all of collegiate baseball are awarded the honor each season.

Cousino recorded 127 put-outs in 2013 while committing two errors to record a fielding percentage of .985.

Cousino was also named to the SEC All-Defensive Team, just as he was in his freshman campaign in 2012.

The Cats’ failed to make the NCAA Tournament in 2013 and fell in the first round of the SEC Tournament to Ole Miss.
