Senior Maegan Conwright has transferred from UK to Florida State.

The 5-foot-8 eight guard played three seasons at UK, starting 20 times in 77 career games.

A season-ending knee injury ended Conwright’s junior season after 10 games. She finishes her UK career with averages of 4.8 points and 1.2 steals in 18.9 minutes per game.

Florida State head coach Sue Semrau revealed in a FSU press release she is delighted at the addition of Conwright to her roster.

“She will bolster our young backcourt with her experience and leadership,” Semrau said. “Maegan will contribute at multiple perimeter positions for us. She has played in some big games and is a relentless, tenacious player who will help take this program to the next level.”

The former Cat will sit out the 2013-14 season due to transfer rules, but will be eligible to play her senior season in 2014-15.
