Three-star Stephenson (Ga.) High School defensive back Jared Tucker has committed to UK, Tucker confirmed to Justin Rowland of Rivals via text message.

Tucker, from Stone Mountain, Ga., is rated as the 44^th best safety in the Class of 2014, according to Rivals.

The 5-foot-11, 162 pound defensive back is the first commitment of the class from the state of Georgia and the ninth commitment of the class overall for the Cats.

Tucker’s list of offers included Ohio State, Florida, South Carolina, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt and Louisville, among others.

The addition of Tucker sees UK move up to No. 10 in Rival’s Class of 2014 rankings.
