Four-star Conner High School quarterback Drew Barker committed to UK on Friday at an announcement at his school.

Barker selected the Cats over South Carolina and Tennessee.

The 6-foot 4, 205 pound quarterback from Hebron, Ky. is the consensus top-ranked recruit in the state of Kentucky for the Class of 2014 among recruiting services.

He is rated as the sixth-best pro-style quarterback in the country by Rivals and the seventh-best pro-style quarterback in the country by 24/7 Sports.

Last season, Barker passed for 2,067 yards and 22 touchdowns on 62.2 percent completion (140-for-225).

Barker also rushed for 1,422 yards and 18 touchdowns.

Louisville, Mississippi, Vanderbilt, Cincinnati and Purdue all offered scholarships to the quarterback, among others.

Barker becomes the sixth member of the Class of 2014 to announce his commitment to play for UK head coach Mark Stoops, and is the highest rated recruit in the class.
