UK baseball makes the short journey along I-64 Tuesday to take on No. 9 Louisville at Jim Patterson Stadium.

“They had our number last year,” sophomore center fielder Austin Cousino said. “We’re gonna show up prepared.”

No. 7 UK  (21-6, 6-3 SEC) enters Tuesday’s contest on the back of a weekend series victory over Georgia in Lexington.

Freshman right-handed pitcher Kyle Cody will take the mound for the Cats in Louisville looking for his third win of the season.

The 6-foot-7, 230-pound freshman holds a 2-1 record and a 6.38 ERA after his first three starts at the college level.

Louisville (22-5, 4-2 Big East) will start freshman right-handed pitcher Kyle Funkhouser against the Cats.

Funkhouser is also 2-1 on the season with a 1.59 ERA.

WLAP 630-AM will broadcast Tuesday’s game live to radio listeners in Central Kentucky.

First pitch at Jim Patterson Stadium is set for 6 p.m.
