UK signees named finalists for Mr. and Miss Kentucky Basketball

UK signee Derek Willis of Bullitt East High School was named a finalist for Mr. Basketball in the state of Kentucky.
Marion County teammates Makayla Epps and Kyvin Goodin-Rogers, who signed to play for UK Hoops’ head coach Matthew Mitchell next season, were named finalists for Miss Basketball.
The award, sponsored by the Kentucky Lions Eye Foundation, is awarded annually to the best boys and girls high school basketball player in the state.
Other finalists for Mr. Basketball include Willis’ teammate Rusty Troutman, Darryl Hicks of Trinity, Dominique Hawkins of Madison Central and Montgomery County’s Omar Prewitt.
Also named finalists for Miss Basketball were China Dow of Christian Academy of Louisville, Larryn Brooks of Madison Central and Becca Greenwell of Owensboro Catholic.
