This season is looking like a cold one, so here are a few tips on how to stay stylish and warm during this winter weather. It’s definitely a growing trend to wear leggings on campus.
That’s understandable since they are easy to throw on as well as comfortable, but many leggings aren’t that thick.
I suggest fleece-lined leggings because they are warmer and less see-through.
If you’re not a leggings-as-pants kind of person, I recommend Cuddl Duds.
The material is great because you still can easily slide a pair of skinny jeans over them.
They’re also perfect because you can still wear your regular clothes while beating the cold.
An infinity scarf is a great alternative to the wrap-around scarf. It’s easier to handle than a long one that sweeps the floor when you take it off in class.
You can find them in all different colors, fabrics and sizes at nearby places like Target.
If you have a pair of long fuzzy socks that you normally wear to bed, keep them on in the morning and throw on a pair of ankle boots.
It’s OK if the socks show above your boots.
It’s basic accessorizing for your feet. It’s also easy and comfortable.
Of course, layering is essential. Look for coats with leather detailing.
Now is the perfect time to buy with spring lines coming out and winter items going on sale.
Look for sweaters that can double as coats. Long wool sweaters are perfect for throwing on as you rush out the door.
Hunt around for a cape coat. It will give you a different silhouette and keep you just as warm if you put a thick sweater underneath.
Accessorize with a pair of bright gloves. Fingerless gloves with a mitten flap are perfect to keep your hands toasty, but they’re great because if you get a text or email you can flip them back and use your phone.
There are a wide variety of hats that you can choose from, but try earmuffs instead. You can find them at stores such as Dillard’s, where brands like UGG Australia are sold.
They’ll stay in place and keep your ears cozy. Overall, it’s easy to stay fashionable during the cold winter days if you just accessorize with your winter gear.
Bundle up and express yourself in unexpected ways as we all look forward to warmer weather.
How is this an opinion? Dress warm in the winter….no shit
