Former UK star Michael Kidd-Gilchrist has been named Rookie of the Month for November in the NBA’s Eastern Conference.
Kidd-Gilchrist helped the Bobcats to a 7-8 record in November, averaging 10.9 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.3 blocks and 1.2 steals per game over the 15 game stretch in an average of 27.3 played per game.
After helping the Cats to an NCAA National Championship last season, Kidd-Gilchrist was taken second overall in the 2012 NBA draft by Charlotte.
Last season the Bobcats broke the record for lowest winning percentage in NBA regular season history, going 7-59 in the lockout shortened season.
