The UK men’s basketball team came out hot in the first half and they lead Lafayette, 51-31.

The Cats are led by freshman Alex Poythress, who scored 12 points on 5-5 shooting in the first half.

With sophomore Ryan Harrow still out, the other guards have picked up the slack. UK has 12 assists on 20 made field goals, compared to four turnovers.

As a team, the Cats are shooting 65 percent from the field and 75 percent from the three-point line.
