Week two in the NBA regular season was highlighted by Bobcats rookie, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. In each game, Kidd-Gilchrist has seen his minutes gradually climb since game one of the season.

On Saturday, Nov. 10, the small forward logged 41 minutes and had career highs of both 25 points and 12 rebounds. His big-time performance helped secure a win over the Dallas Mavericks.

Star point guard Rajon Rondo has recorded double digit assists in every game this season. He managed to reach 20 assists in the Boston Celtics’ Friday night loss to the 76ers.

Another former UK guard, Jodie Meeks, has struggled thus far to even get on the court for the abysmal L.A. Lakers. But with the head coach Mike Brown getting fired this week, and Mike D’Antoni in as the new head guy, Meeks may see an increased role.

The Detroit Pistons remain winless through the first two weeks of the season. The steady play from both Tayshaun Prince and Brandon Knight has not been enough this season to break out of the loss column.

“I’m shocked… Because we put so much work into camp and preseason,” Prince said to The Detroit News. “We went at each other so hard and things were getting better and better. And to regress now that we’re playing is tough to swallow.”

Former UK center DeMarcus Cousins has been suspended for 2 games after a post game altercation with San Antonio Spurs’ color analyst, Sean Elliot. The heated exchange began after Cousins talked trash to NBA great Tim Duncan throughout the game.

“I mean me and Tim – we’re good,” Cousins told Jonathan Santiago of Cowbell Kingdom. “Like I said, I have the utmost respect (for him).  But for the commentator to say the things that he said – that was immature.”
