Jon Hood is a 6-foot-7, 212-pound red-shirt junior guard from Madisonville, Ky. He sat out the 2011-12 national championship season due to a torn ACL during the summer.

He played in 33 games during the 2010-11 season, scoring 26 points and grabbing 22 rebounds.

Hood was the 2009 Mr. Basketball and Gatorade Player of the Year for Kentucky, averaging 29.4 points and 12.9 rebounds per-game.

He spoke with the Kernel in early September about coming back from his knee injury and expectations for the upcoming season.
