Drawing of new UK softball complex
UK athletics director Mitch Barnhart updated the athletics committee of the Board of Trustees on the status on the new softball complex Tuesday morning.
Barnhart said ground should be broken on the new facility by July 1, and that it should be ready for action by next February.
Barnhart said that the Cats will use the new complex to serve as hosts for the 2013 SEC Tournament next May.
“This gives the team a really special place to call home,” Barnhart said.
Truely exciting,, !!!! This has to be just a fantastic feeling knowing that this is just around the corner and those of you at UK can actually watch the development of the new facilities.
