UK Board of Trustees expected to authorize tuition hike Tuesday

UK’s Board of Trustees is expected to approve a six percent increase in both tuition and mandatory fees for most students for the 2012-13 academic year at a meeting Tuesday.

If the proposal is approved, it will be submitted to the Council on Postsecondary Education for approval at its June 21 meeting.

UK President Eli Capilouto outlined the tuition hike as part of a response to the cuts in the state budget.
