Police confirmed Saturday evening that a man was found dead inside a house on State Street where UK students lived.

Lexington police Lt. Mark Brand said the death is thought to be from natural causes and no foul play is suspected.

The Fayette County coroner’s office also confirmed that the body was found on State Street, but had not released the name of the man Saturday night.

Local station LEX 18 is reporting that the students’ home was condemned after firefighters found fire code violations during the investigation. The station also spoke with neighbors who say the man was in his 30s and lived in a halfway house next door.

State Street is located near UK Chandler Hospital and is across Nicholasville Road from the ER.
