Three things to watch against Chattanooga in what should be the first of a few Christmas break blowouts:
3. Turnovers
Chattanooga has nine more turnovers than assists for the season, and is averaging 15.8 per game. How much UK decides to press is uncertain. But a point of emphasis since the Indiana game has been for UK defenders to play tight on the perimeter. If the Cats commit to that, it could lead to a turnover spree — and plenty of breakaway dunks.
2. Blocks
Chattanooga has 13 blocks on the year and has been blocked 31 times. UK has 93 blocks. The Moccasins are a short team — no player taller than 6-foot-9. Should be a block party.
1. Twany Beckham
This game is Beckham’s first game after sitting out a year because of transfer rules. He won’t be playing point guard, and I don’t expect him to be much of a contributor once SEC play rolls around. But if he’s going to prove he could see limited playing time as a sub, this upcoming stretch of games will be his chance.
