UK women’s basketball coach Matthew Mitchell’s team will play a total of 15 games on television, according to a university release on Thursday.

Just announced today are five contests that will be televised on the UK IMG Sports Network and one game that will air on Cox Sports Television.

The five UK IMG games will be home contests against Mississippi Valley State on Nov. 27, Louisville on Dec. 4, Arkansas on Jan. 5 and the Senior Night contest against South Carolina on Feb. 23.

Cox Sports Television, which is a regional sports network that primarily services the Louisiana-Arkansas-Northeast Texas area, will broadcast the Cats on the road against the LSU Tigers on Feb. 5.  There are no local Cox Sports Television affiliates.

Nine other games were previously announced as having either national or regional television coverage.

Four of the matchups will be featured on ESPN networks.  The Cats will be featured in consecutive Big Monday ESPN2 match-ups, Feb.13 at Tennessee and Feb. 20 at home against Vanderbilt.  The game against Volunteers in Knoxville will be available in 3D.

The other two ESPN games will be on ESPNU.  Those telecasts will feature the Cats on the road against Notre Dame from the Big East on Dec. 18 as well as the road game in Starkville against Mississippi St. on Feb. 26.

Four other home games, Jan.8 vs. Mississippi State, Jan. 12 vs. Tennessee, Jan. 22 vs. Florida and Jan. 29 vs. Alabama,  are slated for regional coverage on Fox Sports Net or CSS. CSS will also carry the UK Hoops team taking on Florida in Gainesville on Jan. 1.

The entire SEC Tournament will also be televised, with the first two rounds appearing on FSN, the semi-finals on ESPNU and the championship game on ESPN2.

Many of the games not announced as being televised will be available on ESPN3.com or on ESPN Full Court, according to a release today from the UK Athletics office.
