A quick update on UK and honored players:

• UK checked in at No. 22 in both the AP and the coach’s poll. UK was ranked the same in both polls last week. For SEC comparison, Florida is 14/15 and Vanderbilt is 18 in both. Louisville is 16 in both.
• UK was No. 16 in RPI, which is a ranking John Calipari consistently refers to in terms of potential seeding.
• Terrence Jones won SEC Freshman of the Week after averaging 18 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists in wins over Mississippi State and South Carolina. He had a double-double in both games. This is the fifth Freshman of the Week award for Jones and the 11th for UK.
• For comparison, Alabama’s Tony Mitchell was SEC Player of the Week after averaging 20 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.5 steals in wins against LSU and Arkansas.
