  8. This is the story that should be told at The Take Back The Night March coming up on March 31st., 7:00 pm @ the P.O.T. building on U.K. campus this year. So, why isn’t it? A serious personality conflict and policy differences between this rape survivor and full-time student, Jamie Price and the Asst. Director of the V.I.P. Christy Burch that has been going on for almost a year. Does that seem what the Violence Intervention Prevention Program is supposed to be about?

  9. In April 2009, I took the SEEDS training offered by the Violence Intervention Prevention program at U.K. I believe in it’s general ideas based on the brilliant mind of Dr. Dorothy Edwards. However, the way it is now being carried out is a mess. There is no support for students at all. If you go in for help you get shuffled to another place where counselors have little to no experience dealing with rape survivors. If you need to make a report to the police about sexual harassment, (which I did), you will have to come up with the idea yourself and be going to the station alone. I was kicked out of V.I.P. because I had these complaints and was told I was being violent with them. I would be happy if Dr. Dorothy Edwards found someone else to replace the Asst. Director she now has. I imagine the rest of her staff would be as well.
