		<description>The current focus on the link between body image and anorexia is perhaps misguided in that it portrays the illness as merely wishing to be thin. Yet for many women anorexia is more about wanting a sense of control and a means to shape their identity that causes them to lose weight. Yes the person can become thin but they are not necessarily unhappy with their body image, it is more about wanting control, wanting a sense of identity which includes being thin.
