Catastrophic Floods

Over the summer I spent a week in a small town called Gowanda that basically had an entire river dumped on it within an hour. The destruction was massive. The town entire town was painted a murky brown hue and the smell of sewage followed me home everyday. It was probably the most eye opening experience of my summer, seeing just exactly how devastating standing water can be. Photo by Britney McIntosh | Staff
