Two starters for the UK football team could miss Saturday’s season opener. Senior fullback John Conner and senior linebacker Micah Johnson both missed parts of practice on Wednesday.

Conner participated in individual drills but was held out of team drills. His sprained ankle will be evaluated Thursday.

Johnson continues to work back from a foot injury and is considered day-to-day. UK head coach Rich Brooks said there is a chance Johnson will miss Saturday’s game against Miami of Ohio.
