Three Kentucky football players leave team for different reasons

Three UK football players have decided to leave the team, UK head coach Rich Brooks announced June 12.

Junior wide receiver E.J. Adams left the team for personal reasons. He has decided to enter the NFL supplemental draft.

Chris Cessna, a freshman tight end, has ended his football career because of sustained injuries. According to UK Athletics, Cessna plans to stay in school and will receive a medical hardship scholarship.

Freshman tight end DeAunte Mason, who was redshirted in 2008 as a quarterback and moved to tight end during spring practice, will transfer to another school.
