Top high school basketball recruit John Wall was charged last week with misdemeanor breaking and entering at a Raleigh, N.C., residence, according to The (Raleigh) News & Observer.
Wall, a 6-foot-4 senior at Word of God Christian Academy, was detained with two minors on Wednesday, April 27. Each of the three was issued a citation without incident. No warrant has been executed.
In the News & Observer report, Wake County magistrate Gary Wills is quoted as saying there were no signs of forced entry and nothing was missing from the house, which is currently unoccupied.
The top uncommited player in the country, Wall is weighing offers from UK, Duke, N.C. State, Miami (Fla.), Florida, Memphis and Baylor.
Wall is rated as the top point guard in the class of 2009 by Rivals.com, Scout.com and ESPN. Rivals also has Wall as the top overall prospect in the country in the class of 2009.

When a student usually have a criminal record, colleges usually shy away from them. Does this mean John Wall could possible enter the NBA Draft this year because no colleges will want to take a chance on this kid?
I think he is basicly a good kid who made a mistake and will have a great year playing college ball at THE University of Kentucky and then will make a great pro.
Talk about this and other things at Dynasty Defenders
Double castration is the only appropriate punishment.
No Andy, the deadline to enter the draft has passed (and his eligibility for it was questionable at best). Also Calipari talked in his press conference about giving kids second chances. I don’t think a misdemeanor is going to scare him away.
Whether or not Duke will be scared away is a better question. Hopefully it’s getting a lot of press in N.C.
Misdemeanor:
Hmmm. Depends on whose home is being violated.
The action itself is is criminal.
Today, we overlook such.
Truly sad.
A period of “rehab” should and must be demanded before he laces his shoes for any bb team. Get the message coach.
Enjoy folks.
Lot of people do it but the popular ones get caught
Anyway good info.
