Myron Pryor became the only UK football player to get drafted in the 2009 National Football Draft when the New England Patriots selected Pryor with the No. 34 pick in the sixth round on Sunday.

Pryor, who was the 207th overall pick, was second at UK in tackles for loss (11) and sacks (4.5) during the 2008 season. The Louisville native also recorded a fumble recovery in the season-opening win over Louisville, that he returned for a 72-yard touchdown.

The New England Patriots finished 11-5 last year, and last appeared in the Super Bowl in the 2007-08 season.
