UK baseball canceled its game on Monday against Western Michigan due to inclement weather. They will now face each other on Tuesday at 4 p.m. at Cliff Hagan Stadium.

The Cats were originally scheduled to host Wright State on Tuesday, but the Raiders are unable to travel from Dayton, Ohio due to snow.

Western Michigan will also play Morehead State on Tuesday at noon at Cliff Hagan Stadium.

Bell claims SEC award

UK softball pitcher Chanda Bell was named the Southeastern Conference’s Freshman of the Week on Monday.

Bell won three games last weekend during the Cats’ 4-0 weekend at the Hatter Classic hosted by Stetson University. She pitched 14 innings and gave up only five hits while registering a 0.00 ERA.

Bell is the first UK player to win the award since Molly Johnson and Natalie Smith did it in the 2007 season.
