UK head coach Rich Brooks has done a disservice to all those associated with UK by allowing Ashton Cobb to remain on the football team. Cobb is a coward and a criminal and, in my opinion, has forfeited any right he once had to represent the university on the football field and to attend this institution free of charge. By allowing Cobb to remain on the team, Brooks is reinforcing the idea that athletic prowess is more important than character in intercollegiate sports. I urge Coach Brooks to reconsider his decision.
Furthermore, I urge Cobb to be a man and leave the team to avoid tainting his teammates, and the rest of the student body, with his despicable actions.

It’s not that I don’t like that idea, but perhaps we are expecting too much of our fine establishment and its athletes. After all, we are having a big drive toward diversity right now, and with all this diversity, we’re bound to inadvertently include some people who want to threaten women. It’s a bummer, man.
Oh come on you guys are the cowards. This kid who lacks social skills stood before a judge and accepted the penalty for his actions and took full responsibility for his actions. Cobb is a young man who needs to be pointed in the right direction, and football and coach Brooks are part of the right direction. Lyman and Seth you are both worthless wimps and will never achieve manhood.

Threatening to rape and kill a fellow human being is not a lack of social skill. It’s a crime. Cobb should not continue to enjoy the privileged life of a scholarship athlete.
I will never return a fumble for a touchdown, but I do treat women with respect. I have achieved manhood.
As for cowardice, I maintain that any man who is violent towards a woman is a coward. I’m at the law school on a daily basis should you wish to dispute my claim.
So a woman that is violent towards a man is she a coward? Domestic Violence laws spring from the loins of whimps like yourself and are biased towards men. This is an equal opportunity society for both men and women to partake in crimes of violence. Go tell Cobb to his face he is a coward. First of all, anyone who is needlessly violent toward someone in a position of relative weakness is a coward. That is why I find domestic violence so offensive. Relationships put us in a position of vulnerability, which the aggressor uses to more efficiently injure and terrorize his victim. That coupled with his superior size and strength epitomizes needless violence by against someone in a position of relative weakness. The victim is physically, emotionally and psychologically vulnerable. The aggressor is a coward.
Next, I have no idea where Cobb (any other “student” athlete) can be found on campus. I am not afraid of him. He’s a coward and would no doubt cower before my majesty.
I’m confused by your reference to your sword. Trip Fisk will not be happy that you’re playing with swords. I imagine from your comment that you are a Marine. Do you guys really free climb cliffs as a part of your training? If you were speaking metaphorically, I feel compelled to tell you that I do not require your assistance in protecting myself.
If Mr. Cobb disagrees with my assessment of his situation, I’m sure the Kernel would print his rebuttal. Your implication that he would react violently to my words only serves to reinforce my assertion that he is not the type of person that should be representing our university.
