Freezing rain and snow have caused injuries, car accidents and school cancellations across Kentucky in a storm predicted to continue into Wednesday. The city towed cars throughout the city Tuesday morning so Lexington’s snow plowing system could work effectively, Mayor Jim Newberry said in a news release Tuesday morning. Around 44,000 Kentucky Utilities users were without power in Kentucky as of 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to the utilities provider’s media hotline.
