No beans about it, free burritos uninspiring

Comments Off

While the fervent debate over what restaurant serves the best burritos shall proceed indefinitely, I am fairly certain that the name Moe’s shall not be mentioned in such a discussion. Some love Chipotle, others are more partial towards Qdoba, but I would be shocked after a recent experience of mine if anyone can say they [...]

Coal mining beneficial to Kentucky

Comments Off

The fact that Wesley Yonts’s Sept. 4 column “New surface mining legislation brings more destruction to landscape” was published in the Kernel amazes me. It is filled with inaccuracies and written by someone who obviously has no reasonable judgment on coal mining, or any sense to look for details to support a valid claim. This [...]

By Ali Cicerchi Students who have ideas about improving their education now have an opportunity to take action. The Kentucky Chamber of Commerce is seeking ideas from citizens and students to improve the state. With that initiative in mind, the chamber developed “A New Agenda for Kentucky” to collect and promote proposals. Proposed ideas will [...]
